5 hacks to take care of your mental health this lockdown!

I'm an entrovert and I can completely understand how hard is it to stay locked down in our houses over months. The levels of anxiety , depression is increasing as we are striving aimlessly as we don't know what is going to happen next! The pressure of a sustainable future, good jobs, education, economy and a lot more is taking a toll on us. Even the rates of domestic violence has increased drastically!

This article is just a small attempt by us to make you feel a bit better or help you a bit to stay calm and improvise your mental health a bit! 1. Talk to your family or friends- Yes, we need to maintain social distancing but, in this era, we have social media and many other communication modes to stay connected to our loved ones. Talk with them more, have more interactions. While many of us are stuck at home, there are many who are away from their homes maybe in a different city or country, try to communicate and interact with your family and friends. If you're at home with your family, try spending more time with them. Connecting with each other will help reduce your stress as well as, you can even think of connecting with people you have lost touch due to your busy schedules before!

2. Make your timetable- Yes, I know that in this quarantine, many of us are sleeping a lot but, if you have a routine of what you plan to do in a day, if you have regular meals and follow your routine, it will help you kill boredom. This will also help you make most of your time! Do plan your day ahead so that you can track your day and lead a more organised life.

3. Self care- It's a great time to cherish yourself. You can exercise or meditate or take care of your skin, hair health. This time can be used to make yourself better, working on habits which you might quit or improve. Just try to concentrate on different things and maintain a schedule to kill any form of anxiety or depression in this period!

4. Follow your passions and be more creative! Due to our busy schedules, we tend to miss out on our hobbies, passions and creativity somewhere. Start working on that! That would be great way to stay motivated. I heard so many people want to make an YouTube channel, there are so many passions which has faded over the time, try working on all of it. You can also do a number of online courses and Excel your skills. You can try cooking ,baking or anything you like. This will help kill anxiety and help you to be happy and contented. It's better late than never!

5. Sleep well- Have a sound sleep everyday and that would help you deal with any mental health issues. This is a very important pointer. If you even make a routine and couldn't make it up everyday, don't be harsh on yourself, you've a new day to do it. Stay more and more engaged to eradicate boredom.
