One of the hidden Biryani joint in the City of Joy!

When the entire world is coping up with the new normal, we know how people have become more and more aware about food, hygiene and their well-being so we decided to bringforth a brand which has significantly made a difference not only by providing quality food and taste but also ensured safety and hygiene to all the people.

Located at 24 Tarak Dutta Road, Lower Range, Beckbagan ballygaunge, Saffron Restaurant Kolkata is an epitome of taste and quality.

When we visited the place, we were startled by the hospitality of the wonderful staffs as well as we loved the royal decor of the place.

When we opened the menu, we were startled again as the prices were so affordable and it was like the "heaven for an Indian food lover", due to the number of variants available. They also have several offers for party orders or group meetups.

Coming to the food, we started off with the Chicken Malai kebab. The kebabs came with a serving of mint chutney.

The chicken was tender and it was grilled to perfection. The kebabs were made with cheese, cream, thick yogurt and spices. They just melted in my mouth after the first bite and tasted delicious.

The shape of the kebabs were a bit different from the normal reshmi kebabs as that is one of their USPs, this shape makes sure that the food has enough marination and the spices seep inside the well marinated chicken.

The second one on our list was the Chicken Biryani. The aroma of the biryani was enough to have a tantalising effect on our minds. The saffron rice, the elegantly sized meat, the aloo in the authentic Kolkata biryani and the concoction of spices was enough to cast a spell on me.

When I took the first spoonful of biriyani, there was a jolt of flavours hitting my taste buds. As I love Kolkata biriyani personally, the egg, biryani and the rice was was cooked with all the flavours intact.

Another notable mention is the fact that the biryani was very light on stomach and

It’s not just food, but also a celebration of life, love, and all things good on this Earth! It felt like comfort food.

The another must have item would be the Chicken Champ and Chicken Bharta.

The Chicken Champ came with a big leg piece. The dish was elegantly prepared with all the flavours very nicely done giving you the authentic flavours. The Bharta too went really well with the Kulcha we had ordered.

"One of the biggest plus point of our place is that we guarantee good taste and quality at affordable price point. If our customers like our food, they will definitely come back to our restaurant", quotes Farooque Hashmi, the owner of the property.

As they say "All's well that ends well" so we ended this culinary expedition with lots and lots of good food and good taste. .

So, if you're from Kolkata or planning to visit kolkata, don't miss to put this place in your checklist for sure. I have also linked their google location for your convenience.
